Who doesn’t know the frustration of explaining technology to elderly people? Well in this short, Mick Andrews and Brett O’Gorman did a hell of a job just filming one conversation between an elderly and a younger woman in a home of senior citizens who tries to help her writing an SMS.
The time the protagonist needs to grasp how to do it is underlined by an adorable time lapse with ellipses showing an occupant promenading around the yard with his walker.
This short has been released two years ago and chosen by “Short of the Week” and the Vimeo staff as well. It won numerous prizes at film festivals.
I don’t know if you’ll be surprised by the end, but you’ll be touched for sure.
